“ We found Stewby’s through TikTok and it totally lived up to the hype. There are actually two buildings with different menus—one for fried, grilled, and blackened seafood, and the other for steamed seafood like boils. When we arrived, there was a line out the door at the fried side, but a staff member quickly explained the setup and pointed us in the right direction. Super friendly and helpful. We ordered the fried shrimp and the Family Steamed platter. The shrimp were fried to perfection—lightly battered, crispy, and full of flavor without being greasy. You could really taste how fresh they were. The Family Steamed Platter was a feast—5 pounds of seafood including crab legs, mussels, head-on and head-off shrimp, crawfish, potatoes, corn, and four mini tubs of butter. Everything was fresh and cooked just right. Our party of 9 shared it all as a snack, and it was more than enough to satisfy. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, and the patio area is dog friendly, which was a super bonus for our group. Great food, great vibe, and a solid local find. If you’re anywhere near Ft. Walton, don’t miss this place. We’ll definitely be back! ”

“ The seafood is fresh and cooked well. I had the grilled amberjack and was served three pieces with the order. The cheese grits are also very good and you can't go wrong with the fried shrimp. We did have to wait in line for about 30 minutes and then there we almost couldn't get a table, so better not to go during a peak time. The inside area is very loud so if weather permitting it might be better to eat at the outdoor tables. ”

“ Ridiculously delicious. I don’t know what seasoning they throw on their grub, but I want it injected in my veins. I got the chicken and colossal shrimp. My girlfriend got grilled shrimp and fried oysters. The batter was seasoned incredibly, the chicken was tender, shrimp cooked perfectly (not rubbery at all) , both hers and mine. Okra was pretty good, but I’d get it with a ranch instead of ketchup. There’s a reason there’s a line outside of this place. (We ordered pickup and skipped all the silly people in line.) Don’t go to anywhere else that claims to have seafood (besides Old Bay Steamer if u fancy like that) come to Stewby’s or face the wrath of the mighty Poseidon, God of the Seas. “ I was driving over from Pensacola and I stopped at a public supermarket to get some tanning lotion before enjoying the beach and I asked them where I could get a great fish sandwich and the employee got really excited, rubbing her hands together and said I’ll tell you exactly where to go and they recommended this location. Having been a restaurant owner and operator for over 40 years and having ran great restaurants I look for excellence in restaurants where I eat. I found this concept to be top-notch people, the staff was friendly, everyone had name tags on their shirts, & the restaurant was clean. They were having fun which is the number one indicator of a restaurant to me, along with the other things I just mentioned. My food was excellent, a mahi-mahi grilled fish sandwich along with some fries and a piece of the Keylime pie. The only two criticisms that I have is the fish portion needs to be larger. I’m sure it’s been scaled down because of inflation, but hopefully as the economy improves, the size of the fish will improve and you need to change your Flag out front as it is tattered and old glory needs to be waving in the wind and in it’s top condition. I highly recommend this place and appreciate the job you guys are doing and giving confidence to customers to come and eat. I parked across the street went to the beach for a few hours and when I was leaving the line to get in for dinner was out the door... A key indicator that people want to eat here. If you’re in this area go give them a try. you won’t be disappointed. Thanks guys! ”

“ Let’s put the food aside for just a moment, because Ms. Faye and her cooking team truly make this place special. From the moment you walk in, Ms. Faye has a way of making you feel like you're the only one who matters. It's like you’re the guest of honor, and she treats everyone with that same warmth and attention. We asked a lot of people where the best seafood in town was, and every single person pointed us here. They weren’t lying. Seafood is my love language, and this place did not disappoint. The fried oysters were massive—about the size of my palm—and the batter was perfectly crispy, with plump, juicy meat inside. While I’m not normally a fan of hushpuppies, these were unlike anything I’ve ever had. They weren’t doughy at all. Instead, they were light, crispy, and served with honey, which took them to a whole new level. And as Ms. Faye would say, the shrimp and onion rings were “slap.” That perfectly fried crunch, paired with the juicy shrimp, made every bite a delight. The fried and grilled grouper, cheese grits, and fries were all just as good. Every dish was cooked with such care and flavor—it’s clear that Ms. Faye and her team put their heart and soul into every plate. The key lime pie was delicious. While you’re there, don’t forget to check out the market next door for steamed items and unique gift merchandise. The chefs here cook with soul and love, and it shows in every single dish. Ms. Faye and her team are the true heroes of this place, making it not just a meal, but an experience you won’t forget. ”

“ Such a fun, and delicious dining experience! We enjoyed our meals, and the sweet tea was great too! We came on a Saturday for early dinner, and the counter ordering was easy! We Sat outside and it wasn’t busy yet! There is a condiment station, and large benches with umbrellas. Staff was friendly, the food was fresh, portions were large. ”

“ Stewby's on Santa Rosa Boulevard is one of our go to places for great tasting, no frills, fair priced seafood in the Okaloosa/Fort Walton/Destin area. Our recent 5 day stay in May took us to Stewby's 5 times including the Shanty and the Steamer. Their Amber Jack dinner is fantastic. The Grilled Shrimp dinner is equally as good. Don't forget the onion rings, hushpuppies or green beans - all excellent sides. And, by no means, do NOT forget a slice of Shanty Pie (the best Key Lime pie in Florida). Dine inside or out! If dining outside, beware of the little kids who are let loose by their parents - makes for an interesting dining experience at times! If you see a line, don't let that stop you. It moved quick and is well worth the wait. We will be back during our next Okaloosa/Destin trip...as always! ”
